I guess it’s a good thing if your honors thesis completely blows your mind.

As the screen panned out in NY after the ball dropped announcing the beginning of anno domini 2012, I caught a glimpse, well a heck of a lot more than a “glimpse,” of the place where I’ll be working next year. While I still have some unsettled anxiousness about taking the job, seeing the very building right there with its neon banner etched out of the night seems some sort of signal. Seeing it begin my year, one bound to be far better than the last, I know it’s where I’m to be in 2012.
Looking back, make no mistake 2011 was a hell of a year. It was a war, and I’m debating whether it was at all worth fighting (I probably could have just stayed home). Every minute a battle, and for what, I’m still not quite sure. Beyond two, sizable bright spots (that both carried their own temporary yet heavy, dark clouds), all it has given me is a year closer to inevitability, nothing more than a placemark. That and a new low that can only be beaten.
May the new year bring you and I both far more cheer than the last.
And I am excited.

The reason I hate my life right now. This is all.
I have discovered the source of evil at this school.
First GIF over on my other tumblr after well over a month of being open for business. (Whoops, actually second.) Still, “I believe I deserve some recognition from this board.”

Just got rejected for another job today. I think I know what this means and where I need to go from here. There aren’t that many opportunities out there.
PS: I’m doubling down on my last post: really watch out for the rest of the month, including the next two days.
We’re on the precipice of a near-complete economic collapse.
I ♥ my friends. Early last week somebody wrote “you’re loved” in un-dusted pollen on my window (though it may not be wholly visible now). It was a rough week at school, but it just killed me. :)
